The first FLO Vortex opened on Tuesday 4th November 2014 in Shoreditch at the Juno Bar. It was hot, dark, intimate and outstanding. Every month we were packed to capacity with a minimum of 20 poets performing at each event. The vibe was indescribable...even for a gathering of wordsmiths! It was inevitable that we were going to have to move to accommodate our ever growing, ever loyal, ever listening audience. By mid 2016 we had relocated to Rye Wax in Peckham. More room. More poets. More people. The vibe was kinetic! We had become an even bigger family. We celebrated our third FLOversary with some new alignments. For the first time, FLO switched from the first Tuesday of the month to the first Thursday of the month, and we also relocated to the Hideaway Jazz Cafe in Streatham, South London. Due to popular demand we added a second date, (third Thursday of the month).
